I founded Career Coaching for ADHD after realizing that like me, there are other adults diagnosed with ADHD (or suspect that they have ADHD/ADD), seeking resolution with career and workplace issues; that are often a result of their ADHD. When I first learned that I have ADHD, I needed support and answers to many questions, but I never knew where to turn. My ADHD diagnosis came as a result of my 2 young children being diagnosis with ADHD and I noticed many of the same symptoms that my children had, I saw in myself. That was a turning point in my life, I never ‘knew’ of anyone that had ADD/ADHD yet my children were being diagnosed and me, of all people–an adult!. Throughout my life and for as long as I can remember, I knew that something about my life was a bit (well, more than a bit) different than that of my peers. I now know that ADHD is a lifelong disorder originating in childhood and often continuing into adulthood.

During my career in Pharmaceutical sales, I was trained extensively on various disease, medications used and treatment protocols. I often consulted with thought leaders in the field of ADD/ADHD, which lead to being able to develop an understanding of the clinical aspects of ADD/ADHD and LD, while living with the physical challenges of ADHD.

My particular struggles have been at times overwhelming and at times have presented challenges that interfered with success in my job, but after my diagnosis and treatment and a great support system, I was able to function more efficiently. I then developed a course of action that allows me effectively manage the various functions of my career, and it ultimately change my life for the better. I now have discovered my life’s purpose; to coach and advocate for other adults with ADHD and help them to find passion and meaning in their careers.
