Energy Healer & Spiritual Counselor– helping people Let Go using the Body-Mind-Spirit Healing Techniques  October 24, 2011 –

I just discovered Carolyn Brent and her book that’s coming out next month titled: Why Wait? A Baby Boomer’s Guide to Preparing Emotionally, Financially and Legally for a Parent’s Death. Carolyn has written a book to inspire us all  to have those difficult discussions that we tend to “put under the rug” for a future date and get better prepared for the issues that are going to come up, sooner or later, in our families’ lives.

A Telesummit has also been scheduled to take place around Carolyn’s forthcoming book. See this link for details. Ms. Brent’s passion for her subject matter started when she was caring for her father, a clergyman, who was dianosed with dementia in 1997. She discovered through her experience with her father that neither she nor her family were prepared for the medical challenges, not to mention the financial and emotional issues, that her family were faced with related to their father’s chronic illness.Brent’s passion for her subject matter started when she was caring for her father, a clergyman, who was dianosed with dementia in 1997. She discovered through her experience with her father that neither she nor her family were prepared for the medical challenges, not to mention the financial and emotional issues, that her family were faced with related to their father’s chronic illness.

In 2009 Carolyn founded a business called “Grandpa’s Dream” and a non-profit organization “Caregiver Story” to help disseminate useful information for caregivers and families through books, speaking engagements, and a web-based “info portal.” Carolyn hopes that her work will become an instrument of positive change for other families who may be experiencing some of the pain and heartache that she and her family have experienced. She has a vision for a world in which families have the “crucial conversations” ahead of time to make for stronger families that are better prepared to say goodbye to their aging parents. She is particularly committed to help family caregivers and aging parents to receive the support they need for their end-of-life challenges.

Carolyn has an MBA and has a professional background working with some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. She served as a clinical education manager for Pharmacia and also as senior therapeutic sales rep. for another major pharmaceutical company. She has also served as a volunteer in a variety of assisted living facilities in San Joaquin County. She’s volunteered to serve Congress by working to help make the Veterans Administration responsible for their decisions in the area of providing a financial fiduciary and medical rep. in the event of a veteran’s disability. Carolyn’s goal and mission is “to empower caregivers and their family members with the knowledge of the possible challenges they might have to face together while caring for an aging parent.

I invite you to look into Carolyn’s forthcoming timely book and work at her website and at Amazon.com.

Thanks, Carolyn, for this good work you’re doing! I invite us all to get better educated on these subjects; and I invite you to visit my website as well, for preparing for the spiritual aspects of the final transitions we all will be facing one day, Dancing heart~~~
