World Wide Caregiver Appreciation Day- Appreciate a Caregiver Today!

On March 8th 2011, A Caregivers’ Story- The Carolyn A. Brent Experience~ celebrated their first annual “World Wide Caregiver Appreciation Day.”  This is a day of recognition to family caregivers, and adult siblings to be good partners for each other and strong advocates for their parents’ wishes.

In a tribute to her father, Carolyn created GrandPa’s Dream, inspired by the ministries of Dr. William L. Brent, whose mission was to help the sick and needy through the biblical words of God.   “I hope to educate and empower caregivers and care providers with information to enhance their mental, physical and emotional well being.”

As Carolyn seeks to transform the entire landscape surrounding end-of-life issues she’s created, a website that provides free medical and legal resources for families and caregivers and to further connect caregivers.

Carolyn feels a caregiver’s life does not have to stop when caring for someone else.  She created “A World Wide Caregivers’ Appreciation Day” on March 8th in honor of her father’s birthday. “You give your life for the caring of someone else.  Caregivers need to be celebrated.”
